Car Auto Online - Porsche Adopts Tri-Turbo Engine Technology for 2013 Porsche 911 - Recently BMW released their latest models with new turbo diesel engine technology using BMW TwinPower-Turbo (Tri-Turbo). It seems the technology is not only to be used in the latest generation of BMW, but recently Porsche has applied for a patent for the Tri-Turbo Engine that will be embedded in 2013 Porsche 911.

Using the Tri-Turbo engine, the performance of 2013 Porsche 911 is expected to generate more power than 350 HP. The latest generation of Porsche 911 which was launched late last year is equipped with a boxer engine capacity of 3.4-liter inline six-cylinder engine and generating 350 hp.

The power of Porsche 911 Turbo is targeted to increase to more than 550 hp when the Turbo S system works. When the technology is completely done, with the same system the engine is expected to be used in 911 GT2 and 911 GT2 RS.

With this new system, some BMW products are able to produce vehicles with lower emissions. As well, Porsche is hoping to the development of this technology on the 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo.
