Car Auto Online - 2012 Ford Fiesta ECOnetic, Ford’s Fuel Efficient City Car - Ford of Europe started producing New Fiesta ECOnetic last month. New Fiesta ECOnetic is equipped with the latest technology of fuel-efficient vehicles. It said the car will be the most economical vehicle in the class of city car. Fiesta ECOnetic consumes fuel 30.3 km / liter (86.5 mpg).
Ford said the new model of Fiesta is capable to consume fuel approximately 3.3l/100km and producing CO2 emissions of only 87g/km. And Fiesta ECOnetic began to be produced at Ford's Cologne Assembly, Germany.
New Ford Fiesta will have a capacity of 1.6 liter diesel engine Duratorq TDCi capable of producing power 95hp and 205Nm of torque. And New Fiesta ECOnetic will be available in a choice of 3 and 5 door with some choices of trim.
"The variant of Fiesta has achieved great success in Europe and when it comes with ECOnetic Technology which capable to lower fuel consumption and low CO2 emissions, the next level of success can also be achieved," said Stephen Odell, CEO and Chairman of Ford of Europe.
Fiesta ECOnetic is a development of new character of the Ford ECOnetic Technology with new innovations include Auto-Start-Stop, Smart Regenerative Charging, Eco Mode, Shift Indicator Light, and the engine that has been re-calibration as well as gear ratio optimized.
New Fiesta ECOnetic that comes with a lower suspension and improvements at the foot, will be sold in Europe between the middle and the end of 2012. With the new technology, Fiesta ECOnetic is expected to lead the market of automotive with the more fuel efficient vehicle in the class of city car.
