Lotus Evora GTC

Car Auto Online - Lotus Evora GTC - Lotus Racing has showed latest creations of their sports car, which is thr new generation of GT4 Evora Enduro. The British car manufacturer, Lotus, has introduced Evora GTC, a Lotus’s new car model that comes with new technologies and a lighter weight than their previous generation.

The Evora GTC has a very strong appearance of a racing car which has been the main idea of this sports car. The features of Lotus Evora GTC was revealed by Lotus Motorsport Division, that explained the Evora GTC comes with a number of parts using carbon fiber materials.

As reported by carbuzz, the parts that use lightweight materials are on roof, doors and hood. In addition to reduce the car weight, the plexiglass is used on windows. This makes the weight of Evora GTC is 30 kg lighter than Enduro GT4, with weight about 1130 to 1140 kg.

"Though adopting the same machine, GTC Evora is capable to run faster than Enduro GT4. We have succeeded in reducing weight and adding features of ABS (Anti-Lock Brakes) from BOSCH racing and Traction Control," said Senior Group Technician Lotus Motorsport, Louis Kerr.

Kerr also explains that the wheel of Evora GTC has been made ​​wider, so traction becomes more comfortable and more gripping at a cornering road. Not only improving handling and performance of the car, by using wider wheels makes the appearance of Evora GTC more sporty, without reducing aerodynamics performance.

While for the powertrain, Evora GTC is equipped with 4.0 liter V6 engine producing power up to 450 hp and torque of 460 Nm. And the engine is combined with XTRAC, a six-speed transmission system with paddle shifters.
